Remote Coding Training Specialist

Job Summary

To enhance departmental effectiveness, the full-time Remote Coding Training Specialist will lead new hire onboarding, provide ongoing training and quality assurance, and serve as a subject matter expert on coding guidelines and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end onboarding processes for new coders and auditors, ensuring comprehensive training and quality assurance
• Serve as the primary resource for the coding team by addressing complex coding questions and managing quality assurance issues
• Develop and maintain a centralized library of training materials while identifying and addressing knowledge gaps through targeted training initiatives

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years of production coding experience in a risk adjustment environment
• Current core coding credential (e.g., CPC, CRC, CCS, CCS-P), with CRC preferred
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, coding guidelines, and risk adjustment models
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and coding platforms
