Job Summary
A chemical and petrochemical company has an open position for a Remote Commodity Buyer in Knoxville.
Must be able to:
- Maintain the taxonomy of the global supplier database and classify new suppliers added to the vendor database
- Drive resin savings initiatives and source, negotiate and coordinate all resin contracts and agreements
- Collect and analyze global spend, identify and recommend opportunities for cost savings
Qualifications for this position include:
- Must be computer savvy with the ability to utilize Microsoft Office
- 2 years of recent experience utilizing a material management module that includes procurement
- ERP experience utilizing programs such as SAP is required
- Ability to create purchase orders if needed as well as set up and maintain material master planning parameters in SAP
