Job Summary

A healthcare provider is in need of a Remote Communications Operations Coding Tech I in Oak Brook.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting final coding of outpatient accounts types for Emergency Room and Ancillary and Therapeutic services
  • Utilizing 3M coding products including encoder and groupers for Medicare reimbursement
  • Abstracting of selected clinical and non~clinical information to create a comprehensive database

Qualifications Include:

  • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credential or Certified Coding Specialist~Physician based (CCS~P)
  • HIM degree graduate with RHIT or RHIA credential
  • Completion of coding certificate program from recognized community college
  • Achieve satisfactory score on Advocate's coding test
  • Attention to detail
  • Computer experience
