Job Summary

A nonprofit organization helping kids and families thrive in a world of media and technology is filling a position for a Remote Communications Vice President in San Francisco.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Developing and implementing an integrated strategic communications plan
  • Managing the communications team and outside consultants
  • Serving as a spokesperson and lead point person on media interactions

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field
  • 10 years' experience in a senior management communications role,
  • Extensive successful writing and editing experience
  • Comfort with proactively building relationships with top-tier reporters and editors,
  • Experience in building, mentoring, and coaching a diverse team
