Job Summary

A non-profit grassroots environmental organization has an open position for a Remote Community Outreach Coordinator.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Assist in education efforts of area residents regarding community environmental risks and solutions
• Work closely with the appropriate chapter staff and organization leaders
• Assist the appropriate staff and volunteer leaders with planning and implementation of assigned programs

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

• Ability to travel as needed; valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and proof of auto insurance
• Experience with at least one community organizing or mobilizing project
• Ability to interact positively with community residents, volunteers, staff and the public
• Demonstrated interest in the environment or related public interest issues
• Ability to clearly explain complex issues and effectively communicate them to community residents
• Ability to provides program support as needed, including handling phone inquiries, administrative support
