Remote Contract Hardware Detailer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Contract Hardware Detailer will review architectural plans, create detailed hardware installation documents, and coordinate with project teams and vendors to ensure project requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural plans and specifications to prepare detailed hardware installation documents
• Create hardware sets, shop drawings, schedules, and submittals using manufacturer cut sheets and EPWS software
• Assist with change orders, ASIs, RFIs, and technical inquiries to support project execution

Required qualifications

• Technical associate degree or equivalent experience in construction or hardware detailing
• 2-5+ years of experience in contract hardware or commercial construction environments
• Proficiency with EPWS or similar software systems
• Knowledge of Division 08 specifications and DFH products
• Ability to interpret construction documents and manage product data and costs effectively
