Job Summary
A non-profit alternative education retreat center and intentional community needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Controller.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Maintaining the accounting systems to ensure the integrity of the data
- Acting as “power user” in the accounting system; providing support and training for accounting staff
- Monitoring overall reservation revenue; ensuring accurate receipt of funds and reconciling related accounts
Qualifications for this position include:
- 5+ years of continuous accounting experience with a focus on general ledger and financial reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and internal controls
- Proficient with MS Excel and various other technologies
- Effective problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to identify trends and relationships within accounting data
- Resourceful, high level of initiative and strong work ethic
