Job Summary
A banking institution has a current position open for a Remote Conventional Mortgage Underwriter 3 in San Antonio.
Must be able to:
- Apply guidelines while underwriting complex loan transactions
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations
- Mentor underwriters level 1 and assist them with complex loan files
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent
- Three to five years of government underwriting experience
- Experience with Desktop Underwriting and Loan Prospector (Total Scorecard)
- Ability to analyze complex income, assets, credit and collateral
- Intermediate to advanced technical/functional skills
- Ability to build relationships with customers, sales and internal groups
