An environmental news site is in need of a Remote Copy Editor.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Writing clickable headlines and helping craft content to go viral
- Utilizing best practices for SEO
- Working efficiently during deadline situations
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. EST
- 2+ years experience as an online news editor/copy editor
- Superior writing, editing and grammar skills
- Advanced knowledge of content management systems
- Ability to edit and resize photos and graphics in image editing software
- Must have an acute attention to detail with a strong ability to focus and get things done quickly
