Job Summary

A video sharing software company has an open position for a Remote Core Video Software Engineer.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Architect and build a native recording layer for our Windows desktop application
  • Onboard new engineers as our team scales up
  • Install monitoring on our CDN and optimize our delivery layer so that watching a video is fast

Qualifications Include:

  • Yearly off-site retreats
  • 5+ years of production-level engineering experience
  • High-level understanding of how one or more of the following works: HLS, h264, matroska
  • Comfortable with ffmpeg and ffprobe
  • Track record of solving difficult systems problems
