Remote Counsel

Job Summary

A non-profit organization is seeking a Remote Counsel.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Researching, drafting, and editing pleadings, motions, and other briefs filed in impact litigation related to our mission
• Participating in and managing discovery
• Researching and devising innovative legal arguments and potential litigation approaches

Skills and Requirements Include:

• A passionate commitment to the preservation of democratic norms and institutions
• An embrace of a cross-ideological and nonpartisan approach to protecting our democracy
• One to five years of legal experience
• Exceptional analytical skills and writing and presentation skills directed at both lawyer and nonlawyer audiences
• Ability to track, prioritize, and, where necessary, triage work in order to use time in the most efficient and productive way
• Bar membership in good standing in the counsel’s jurisdiction of residence and ability and willingness to waive into DC or other places
