Job Summary
A financial technology company is filling a position for a Remote Credit Legal Counsel Director.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Leading merchant and consumer marketing legal support
- Working with clients regarding consumer credit
- Counseling clients regarding UDAAP, EFTA/Reg. E, TILA/Reg. Z, GLBA/Reg. P, FCRA/Reg. V, FDCPA, ECOA/Reg. B, CAN-SPAM, TCPA
Qualifications for this position include:
- Juris Doctorate or equivalent degree and admitted to a state bar in good standing
- Significant experience in marketing laws and regulations
- Significant expertise and prior experience in interpreting and counseling clients
- Experience dealing with regulatory bodies, regulatory exams, internal and third-party audits
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to tolerate change and ambiguity
- 10 or more years of relevant experience practicing either in-house or at a reputable law firm
