Job Summary
A financial services and technology company is filling a position for a Remote Credit Science Staff Data Scientist.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Designing the policies that determine which customers can be safely extended credit & how much
- Researching and developing the underlying credit risk models that power these policies
- Building the systems that automate and execute real-time credit decisions, in collaboration with Data Platform and Engineering
Position Requirements Include:
- 8+ years in a data science role (or Ph.D. in a quantitative field with 6+ years in a data science role)
- Deep understanding of how to apply statistics and modeling to solve complex business problems
- Fluency with SQL queries, Python, and statistical / ML packages
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and having worked with different business functions
- Experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance
- Ability to hold yourself and the team to high standards
