Job Summary

A distance education college has an open position for a Virtual Criminal Justice Faculty Member.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Assigning grades and providing relevant, substantive, and value added feedback
  • Teaching assigned courses within the qualified discipline
  • Participating in regular remote meetings and faculty development opportunities

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Experience with online teaching required
  • Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or Justice Administration from a regionally accredited institution
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Outlook Contact Management systems; Internet software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
