Job Summary
An online publishing company is in need of a Remote Culture Editor.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Solicit, secure and edit interesting features, columns and essays across a range of subject areas
- Publish on a daily, weekly and monthly cadence
- Maintain a comprehensive culture calendar to help us plan coverage
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- 5+ years of editing experience in journalism
- Care deeply about high-quality culture reporting and writing
- Have story ideas—and ways of approaching stories
- Can deliver well-edited stories on a deadline
- Are curious and display excellent taste and judgment
- Are a display-copy whiz who understands the importance of framing a story
