Job Summary
An education technology company is seeking a Remote Curriculum Manager.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Seek out, communicate with and vet publishers with whom to partner
- Select high quality, culturally responsive and complex texts from publishers to add to our text library
- Create high quality phonics, fluency and comprehension lessons and assessments
Position Requirements Include:
- Background in K-8 literacy education as a teacher, literacy specialist, curriculum writer, administrator etc
- Experience in creating standard aligned and rigors lessons and assessments
- Strong knowledge of K-8 literacy standards, pedagogy, current research, and best practices
- Visionary mindset with strong goal setting, action planning, and self-monitoring skills
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to work in a self-directed manner on a small and quickly growing team
