JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
We are seeking an Online Customer Retention Specialist to join our team of sales professionals as a member of our Sales Support Department. As a Customer Retention specialist you will meet and consult with students who are considering dropping out. You will have tools and resources to help students through these difficult times and you will remove obstacles so that they can continue on in our program and reach their educational and career goals. You will also be responsible for upselling and cross selling to new students to ensure they are on the right track with their course package, providing excellent customer service, and helping students set up their payment accounts. We offer a competitive salary, paid training, and the flexibility of working from home.
To succeed in this position you must be experienced in sales or retention with a proven track record of outstanding sales and/or retention performance. The role demands some later hours (for example an occasional call as late as 10PM Eastern to meet with students as well as flexibility to work some weekends to accommodate student schedules).
We are looking for the following qualities:
-Fluent in written and spoken English is required
-Goal oriented person with a history of achieving success
-Professional sales or retention experience
-Comfortable working from a computer and working within databases
-Comfortable working from your home office with the ability to hardwire to your router/modem
-Professional phone skills
-Strong interpersonal skills, maturity, and good judgment, and capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals.
-Experience handling difficult and irate customers
-Problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills
