Job Summary
To support patient billing processes, the full-time Remote Customer Service Representative will resolve billing concerns, implement collection policies, and assist patients with payment arrangements and charity assistance.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately post data related to payments and adjustments while resolving patient billing and third-party payer concerns
- Interview and counsel patients regarding payment arrangements and charity assistance options
- Communicate workflow issues to management and rebill accounts as necessary
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in a healthcare setting
- One year of previous customer service experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology and third-party payers
- Familiarity with collection laws and procedures
