Remote Data Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a temporary contract basis, the Senior Data Engineer will migrate data assets to Databricks Unity Catalog, optimize pipelines, and build scalable PySpark-based data solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Migrate existing data assets and pipelines to Databricks Unity Catalog
- Refactor and optimize existing pipelines using modern engineering standards
- Design and implement workflow orchestration using Databricks Jobs
Required qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with PySpark and Apache Spark
- Extensive experience in Databricks environments, including Unity Catalog migrations
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT design and data modeling
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and/or Google Cloud
- Experience implementing data quality checks and monitoring in data pipelines
