Job Summary

An IT consulting firm is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Data Engineer.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Serving as a hands-on Google Cloud Data Engineer or Architect
  • Using GCP technologies to gather the data in the moment and deliver it to other platforms in the most efficient and scalable manner
  • Using GCP serverless, cloud-native technologies to extract data from Firebase/Firestore and deliver it into Big Query for strategic business analytics

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience designing and building data pipelines from data ingestion to consumption within a hybrid big data architecture
  • Experience using cloud native GCP technologies and languages such as Python, Java, and SQL
  • Experience utilizing Firebase/Firestore and/or JSON documents as data sources
  • Experience with BigQuery
