Job Summary

A healthcare analytics company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Data Engineer and Backend Developer in Chicago.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Programming in a variety of languages and platforms
  • Serving as the data wrangler and ETL expert for the company
  • Building algorithms for fuzzy matching, de-duplication and rule-based de-identification

Position Requirements Include:

  • Recent university graduate with Computer Science degree from a top tier program or
  • 5+ years of full-time experience or demonstrated accomplishments in relevant subject areas
  • Demonstrated mastery with Python and its ecosystems of data manipulation libraries
  • High level of expertise in SQL, relational database optimization, stored procedures and data modeling
  • Mastery of Linux command line, shell utilities and Git / GitHub
