Data Entry - Company Contacts
PART TIME - variable hours per week, fill in as needed
Range $20-$25 an hour, no benefits
Remote: but must be located in one of the following states: NY, IL, DC, VA, CA, AZ, TX, DE
This position is responsible for verifying and updating current corporate & law firm contacts and researching new contacts to be added to our Salesforce system. It requires light research and knowledge of corporate and law firm job titles and organizational structures. You will also need to understand our data entry template and to develop skills to guess at and confirm email addresses.
Attention to detail is required! There are numerous people and companies with similar names, and the ability to accurately identify the correct target is paramount. The information may not be openly listed on the corporate website, light research may be required in order to find the correct contacts. (We will provide access to any paid sources that would be needed for research).
While this is a part-time job with intermittent hours, the tasks will have tight deadlines. A typical project will require verifying or identifying several hundreds of contacts at a time, possibly working along with other freelancers. Hours are assigned on a project basis, up to 30 hours per week, and there is no penalty for turning down a project.
Skills required:
Attention to detail & accuracy
Ability to distinguish between similar names of people and companies
Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM
Ability to recognize when to escalate questions
Basic knowledge of Excel
Prior work researching people is a plus
Priority will be given to people with some legal, office, CRM or research experience.
