A non-public media company has an open position for a Remote Data Journalist.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Building visualizations that explain complex policy topics
• Creating compelling graphics and know modern HTML, CSS, and Javascript
• Developing relationships with other newsrooms, academic programs, researchers and analysts

Required Skills:

• Must be able to encourage and exemplify a culture of innovation in storytelling
• Must be able to identify, capture and analyze data that brings stories to life
• Must be able to be an expert on quality sources of data
• Must be able to pitch and report your own ideas while partnering with other journalists
