Job Summary
NoteAffect is a new company building software that is going to have an incredible impact on education. The NoteAffect platform is solving problems and enriching the education experience for all stakeholders in education: students, instructors, and members of administration.
We are looking for an experienced developer who has deep knowledge of statistics, machine learning, and the tools and languages around such topics to help us shape our data collection and processing strategies and to help us deliver on key insights that will empower our users.
We want someone with real-world experience who is excited about the opportunity to dive into a completely greenfield project to help us choose the right tools, databases, languages, and frameworks. As our products mature, we will look to you to help us uncover new and valuable information and patterns that will be within our data, our user experiences, and external sources of data. We already have specific deliverables we are ready to start moving on, and will look to you to help us build everything out in quick fashion, while retaining a focus on long-term strategy and quality.
You will work very closely with the partners of the company and will be entrusted with helping us to develop a robust and high-quality platform for data analytics that will help to revolutionize experiences for universities, colleges, and more.
This is a direct, full-time role.
No third parties, no contracts.

- Comfort working in a completely greenfield scenario
We're looking for experience with:
- Different database systems (relational, document, graph, etc.)
- Industry coding (C/C++, C#, Java, JS, Julia, Python, R, Scala, etc.)
- Building automated processes for statistical analysis and/or ML processing
- Understanding of image processing and OCR, natural language processing, stream processing
