Job Summary
A global insurance company has a current position open for a Remote Data Management Engineering Director.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Developing talent and hiring for the newly created Data Management team.
- Proactively partnering with the CIO and the business to provide consulting, solutions options, and recommendations around technology, standards, strategies, and governance
- Building-out new or transforming existing Data Management tools or processes including protecting data as an asset (security, compliance, audit, etc.), data quality and governance, central monitoring, data cataloging and reference data or MDM functions
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Ability to travel; 10% of the Time
- Bachelor's or master's degree in technical or business discipline or related experience
- Ten (10) or more years hands-on experience effectively managing data platforms, data tools and/or depth in data management technologies
- Demonstrated, proactive leadership skills with (5) five or more years people leadership experience
- Working knowledge of tools and technologies to support Data Management
- Depth of knowledge in operationalizing data governance and providing measurable DQM
