Job Summary

A software development company is filling a position for a Remote Data Protection and Privacy Counsel.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Tracking and assisting the business to implement cybersecurity best practices from a legal perspective
• Raising awareness and help create and deliver training to stakeholders at all levels
• Providing subject matter expertise and advice on data protection compliance obligations and privacy matters

Position Requirements Include:

• 4+ years of data protection and privacy experience in a law firm or in-house position
• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
• Membership in at least one U.S. state bar
• Ability to build, develop, and maintain strong cross-functional relationships
• Outstanding interpersonal skills that allow for clear communication
