Job Summary
A health services company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Data Science and Analytics Consulting Actuary.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Acting in a liaison capacity between company and outside agencies and organizations
- Identifying opportunities to improve the project process
- Presenting and communicating project results to nonanalytic staff members and customer
Qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial or actuarial related science
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries designation
- At least 5 years’ experience working in a healthcare setting
- Development and certification of Medicaid managed care rates for Medicaid populations
- Able to use applications of various risk adjustment mechanisms and tools
- Understanding of Medicaid waivers and budget neutrality requirements
