Job Summary
A nonprofit behavioral and social science research company has an open position for a Remote Data Scientist.
Must be able to:
- Create structured datasets from large, unstructured data
- Design, validate, and visualize data-driven models
- Collaborate with researchers from a variety of disciplines
Position Requirements Include:
- Experience with distributed computing platforms, such as Hadoop and Spark
- 3 - 5 years of experience using R, Perl, Python, Java, or other languages appropriate for large scale data analysis
- 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience compiling and analyzing complex, high volume, high dimensional datasets
- 3 - 5 years of experience with data visualization software
- Working knowledge of software engineering concepts, DevOps, and agile delivery
- Experience with word processing and spreadsheet software is required
