Remote Data Scientist

Job Summary

A software development company has a current position open for a Remote Data Scientist.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Using Python/Spark/SQL to glean data insights from the very large scale datasets
• Working with product and full-stack engineering teams to build data-powered features in our cloud dashboard

Qualifications Include:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or quantitative discipline (e.g. Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.)
• 3+ years of industry experience in data science. )
• Familiarity with hypothesis testing, experimentation and statistical inference
• Knowledge of software engineering fundamentals; high level of comfort reading and understanding full-stack / backend development code
• Experience building statistical / machine learning models, preferably in Python (e.g., using Tensorflow, PyTorch, XGBoost etc.
