Job Summary
A staffing agency is filling a position for a Remote Data Scientist.
Must be able to:
- Design, implement and/or deploy NGS data analysis workflows
- Select, and benchmark methods and tools, define and perform appropriate QC measures
- Apply and develop innovative analysis approaches when standard methods are not adequate
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Strong scientific understanding and experience in computer science or bioinformatics
- Experience with at least one object-oriented language
- Master's degree from an accredited institution with 3 years of experience in a related scientific discipline
- 7 years of experience in a STEM discipline
- Experience with more than one of the following; analyzing next-generation sequencing
- Good knowledge of existing bioinformatics databases and file formats
