Job Summary

A telecommunications company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Data Scientist in New York City.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Empowering the business by answering complex, business-critical questions using data
  • Working autonomously as a “full-stack” data scientist
  • Helping deepen understanding of the customer base

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience producing models and analytics for business applications
  • Practical experience in: machine learning, statistics, Linear Programming/Optimization, and similar
  • Experience in programming in R, Python, Scala or similar languages
  • Ability to distill informal customer requirements into problem definition
  • Ability to convey rigorous mathematical concepts and considerations to non-experts
