A company developing space-based radar Earth observation satellites is seeking a Remote Data Scientist in San Francisco.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Researching and developing machine learning/statistical learning models for SAR data analysis
- Keeping up-to-date with latest technology trends
- Communicating results and ideas to key decision makers
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Geological Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a relevant field
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development
- Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques, advanced statistical techniques, and concepts
- Familiarity with cloud-based workflows for satellite imagery
- Strong Python programming skills
- 3+ years of experience with earth observation data
