Job Summary
A financial services and insurance agency has an open position for a Remote Data Scientist Senior.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Integrating and extracting relevant information from large amounts of both structured and unstructured data to enable analytical solutions
- Working with IT to translate prototypes into new products, services, and features
- Translating complex analytical and technical concepts to non-technical employees to enable understanding and drive informed business decisions
Qualifications for this position include:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Quantitative Economics, Statistics, or related field
- Strong Python coding skills to develop numerical models
- 6 or more years in predictive modeling, large data analysis and computer science
- Experience in stochastic modeling, machine learning, and other advanced mathematical techniques
- Solid experience in at least one compiled language and one dynamic language
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (written and oral) complex analytical and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical employees
