Job Summary

An IT and engineering firm is seeking a Remote Database Administrator.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Implementing and optimizing computerized database systems
  • Implementing and maintaining smooth operation and physical design of databases
  • Conducting performance tuning of indexes and databases in general

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • 5 to 8 years experience with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD
  • Familiarity with database queries
  • Knowledge of database design and theories
  • Knowledge of database structure languages, such as SQL or SQL/PSM
  • Experience with server installation and maintenance
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices
