Job Summary

A business and technology consulting firm is filling a position for a Remote Database Administrator in McLean.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Manage highly available AWS RDS clusters
  • Work on data migration related activities using AWS DMS, managing and support DR activities
  • Architect, engineer, deploy and support cloud native databases

Required Skills:

  • Bachelors or higher in Technology, Communications or IT
  • At least 3 years of AWS RDS experience
  • At least 7 years of work experience writing and debugging advanced SQL queries
  • Expert query and database tuning skills
  • Expert knowledge of DBA best practices
  • Expert knowledge of warehousing solutions like Snowflake and ETL tools like Matillion or Pentaho
