Job Summary

A nonprofit has a current position open for a Remote Database Architect.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Drive research, architecture, design, and implementation of persistent data storage and query infrastructure
  • Coordinate and consult with and communicate with other members
  • Be responsible for database performance tuning, high availability, backups, and general optimization

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of database storage concepts
  • Advanced level of experience with MariaDB or MySQL database administration
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL and optimization of queries
  • Strong programming language skills and experience designing and developing software
  • 5+ years experience in an DBA/SRE/Operations/DevOps role as part of a team
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux and IO/data storage internals and troubleshooting
