Job Summary
A nonprofit has a current position open for a Remote Database Architect.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Work with developers, SREs and other teams
- Assist at every step of the architectural design and development lifecycle
- Respond to common database issues, following documented procedures
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Deep knowledge of (Free and Open Source) RDBMS (MariaDB, MySQL) administration
- Ggood understanding of and experience with replication is essential
- Deep knowledge of debugging query performance and schema design
- Strong programming language skills
- Experience designing and developing software using relational databases at large scale
