Job Summary

An open source messaging platform is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Database Engineer in San Francisco.

Must be able to:

  • Drive the back end architecture interfacing with the database
  • Be an expert at running relational databases
  • Maintain and optimize scalability, performance and quality

Skills and Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields, or significant professional software development experience
  • Strong experience with relational databases, particularly MySQL and PostgreSQL
  • Strong experience setting up and building highly available database clusters at scale
  • Good programming skills with Go or an ability to learn Go quickly
  • Experience in writing high performance production quality code
  • All other requirements necessary for this position
