Job Summary

An information technology company has an open position for a Remote Database Engineering Senior Advisor.

Must be able to:

  • Conduct all aspects of DB2 z/OS database administration
  • Maintain USS objects for DB2 and related products
  • Monitor database subsystem performance and derive solutions for performance problems

Required Skills:

  • 2 or 4 year college degree in Computer Science/Management
  • 5+ years of production support on DB2 z/OS, including Data Sharing
  • Database Performance Monitoring and Tuning
  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
  • Must be very proficient in JCL, DDL, DML, SMP/E, TSO, REXX, and CLISTs
  • Self-motivated, independent learner, reliable, dedicated, high-energy, problem solver with good people skills
