Job Summary

A boutique software consulting firm has an open position for a Remote Dataflow Engineer in Houston.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Building a dataflow engine as part of an analytics software platform
  • Writing fast event-driven data flow programming to systems with complex data science
  • Developing dataflow programming and materializations

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Experience with event-driven distributed programming
  • Experience with data warehouse patterns like star schemas and EAV fact tables
  • Experience with data lake patterns
  • Experience with connected data, like graph databases or analytics packages
  • Experience with SQL and moving it around: ETL, CDC, Kafka/Spark streams, etc
  • Experience with replication, clustering, consensus and multi-tenancy
