Job Summary
A healthcare company has a current position open for a Remote Denials Specialist in Frisco.
Must be able to:
- Validate denial reasons and ensure coding in DCM is accurate
- Perform research and make determination of corrective actions
- Escalate exhausted appeal efforts for resolution
Skills and Requirements Include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in a hospital business environment performing billing and/or collections
- Intermediate knowledge of hospital billing form requirements (UB-04)
- Intermediate understanding of ICD-9, HCPCS/CPT coding and medical terminology
- Advanced business letter writing skills to include correct use of grammar and punctuation
