Job Summary
A software technology company is filling a position for a Remote Deputy General Counsel.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements
- Acting as liaison with People function to provide legal advice
- Coordinating the improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- J.D. from an American Bar Association accredited law school
- At least five years' relevant work experience that includes the handling of a broad range of commercial and technology transactions
- Ability to contribute to discussions of general business issues; to work well with a wide range of clients
- Substantial understanding of commercial, technology, intellectual property, and licensing laws, and sensitivity to editorial and content-related issues
- Strong organizational skills and ability to balance competing demands under time pressure
- Ability to operate independently and as part of a legal team
