Job Summary
A social enterprise and media platform is in need of a Remote Deputy Managing Editor.
Must be able to:
- Be responsible for daily interactions with reporters in Europe
- Deputize for the managing editor
- Be the main decision maker on news stories and newsletters
Qualifications for this position include:
- At least 7 years of work experience as a journalist/editor
- Strong editing skills and experience
- Excellent English writing skills, with the ability to write engaging, compelling, conversational copy
- Digital media comes naturally to you from your experience
- Confident leading a newsroom and making decisions under time pressure
- Good knowledge of media law
