Job Summary
A fintech startup is in need of a Remote Design Director.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Leading, supporting, and growing a team of talented designers working alongside their partners in product and engineering
- Advocating for customer-centered design across all levels of the organization
- Leveraging design to empower customers to intuitively understand complex home financing concepts
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- 8+ years of B2C design experience working in a customer-centric design organization(s)
- A minimum of 3 years experience as a design leader and/or manager
- An in-depth understanding of human-centered design methods, design thinking techniques, and design tools
- Experience coaching teams of designers to develop their skills, advocate for their perspectives, and work with their peers in engineering and product management
- Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels
- Experience implementing and maintaining design systems and languages
