Job Summary
A space and analytics company focused on providing information about the changes on our planet has an open position for a Remote Developer Documentation Technical Writer in San Francisco.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Taking ownership of the company's developer documentation, including API docs and platform changelog
- Developing new documentation as part of product release cycles
- Maintaining & editing existing documentation, responding to user feedback & internal change requests
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- 4+ years experience writing developer-focused documentation as a technical writer, developer, developer advocate, or similar
- Comfortable with the tools we use to create docs: Markdown, git & GitLab/GitHub
- A strong belief in the Docs as Code philosophy
- A passion for making complicated technical concepts accessible and meaningful
- Strong opinions that you’re excited to share on what makes “good” documentation
- Self-reliant/motivated, able to work independently
