Job Summary
A technology company is seeking a Remote DevOps Engineer in Austin.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Identifying, recommending, and implementing system improvements to reduce infrastructure costs
- Owning all information compliance and security policies, SOC II testing, and remediation
- Developing tooling to enable product development teams to build and deploy software
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Gruntwork)
- 2+ years experience operating large-scale customer-facing production environments
- Understanding of Git/Github and typical versioning workflows
- Experience with Linux operating systems internals and administration
- Strong knowledge of Configuration Automation (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt)
- Deep proficiency working in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP)
