Job Summary

A healthcare company is in need of a Remote Diagnosis Related Group Itemized Bill Review Validation Specialist.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Performing remote review of selected inpatient discharges from Client’s editing program for DRG validation purposes
• Performing a comprehensive review of the inpatient discharges to confirm
• Correcting principal diagnosis selection and checking if co-existing diagnoses exist during the time of the admission

Required Skills:

• RHIA, RHIT, CCS or CPC certification
• 3 – 5 years of coding and DRG validation experience
• Knowledge of MS-DRG and NYS-APR grouper logic, and CMS regulations
• Extensive knowledge of AHA coding guidelines and ICD-10-CM/PCS coding system
• Strong analytical and communication skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
