Job Summary
A media company has an open position for a Remote Digital Reporter.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Pitch multiple story ideas a day
- Write multiple originally reported web stories per shift
- Interview and research assigned story topics
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, advertising or marketing
- 3+ years working as a digital reporter or producer in a major market or national newsroom
- Strong news judgement and ability to determine when local stories have national appeal
- Excellent communicator, both oral written
- Flexibility to work weekend shifts
