Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Remote Documentation Specialist will manage documentation processes by obtaining accurate cause-of-death information, ensuring compliance with state requirements, and maintaining precise records to support families during difficult times.
Key responsibilities
- Contact physicians and medical facilities to obtain necessary documentation and signatures with professionalism
- Review and verify medical information in accordance with state regulations, maintaining accurate records
- Enter and update case data in state filing systems promptly, following established data entry standards
Required qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in office administration or healthcare administration involving detailed documentation
- Strong written and spoken English skills
- Proven accuracy in data entry with the ability to follow defined procedures consistently
- Experience in making follow-up calls and navigating busy medical offices professionally
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet strict filing deadlines
