Remote DOL TAP Employment Research Specialist

Job Summary

A company that provides public services to governments is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote DOL TAP Employment Research Specialist.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Researching and finding public and private industry employment information so the data analytical team can chart and map career trends for transitioning service members
• Supporting data analysts with identifying gaps of current program and assisting with forming recommended mitigation plans to current career transition programs supported by DOL
• Assessing "good fit" partners and selecting "outreach" employers to track their effectiveness with connecting with transitioning service members

Required Skills:

• Ability to travel to observe how various military transition programs conduct warm handovers and capstone events
• Associate's Degree
• 1-2 years of research related or military transition assistance experience - or - 3-4 years of research analysis or military transition assistance experience
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures within data collection and analytics field
• Ability to assist the data analytical team with assigned tasks for the DOL VETS TAP contract
• Ability to review program objectives, recommend program evaluation criteria, measure effectiveness of current efforts, collect data, and draft research reports
